Sravana Pournami Homam
On 28th August 2026, Sri Mahalakshmi Homam was conducted in the school premises at 8.30 a.m. as part of the institution’s initiative to rejuvenate and promote our rich cultural heritage. The rituals were performed with devotion and traditional fervour for the overall well-being of the students. In the evening, the teachers participated in the Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam, followed by Konda Harathi, and sought divine blessings.
Varalakshmi Vratham
On the occasion of Varalakshmi vratham a group song was presented by the students during the morning assembly on 20th August 2026.
Cultural
Bhagavad Gita Recitation
On 1st August, around 165 students of class 8, participated in a Bhagavad Gita recitation programme at Mahathi Auditorium. Organized by Chinmaya Mission on the occasion of Guru Chinmaya Amritotsava – 75 Years Celebration. The students devoutly recited Chapter 15 – Purushottama Yogam. The event helped students connect with the Gita’s timeless teachings on spiritual values, self-discipline, and righteous living, making it a memorable and enriching experience.
Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam
Telugu Language Day & International Sports Day were celebrated at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati. Presiding over, Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju praised Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy Pantulu for promoting simple, colloquial Telugu and stressed preserving the language. Chief Guest Dr. S. Dakshinamurthy urged students to master Telugu alongside English. Students recited Sataka and epic poems, sang patriotic songs. Committee members, Principal Mrs. D. Padmaja, teachers, and students participated.
SRAVANA SANGEETHA LAHARI
Sravana Sangeetha Lahari was held on 22nd August 2026 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati, themed "Sapta Mokshapuramula Vaibhavam," celebrating seven sacred Moksha cities: Ayodhya, Mathura, Haridwar, Varanasi, Kanchi, Ujjain, and Dwaraka through Indian music and dance. The programme commenced with the Bhavan’s Vedic Prayer, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Dr. V. Venkatarami Reddy welcomed, highlighting the seven sacred Moksha cities. Principal Smt. D. Padmala introduced the dignitaries. Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju emphasised nurturing young talent. Guest of Honour Dr. A. Sabari Girish Sarma stressed holistic education and devotion. Chief Guest Shri B. Sridhar Varma assured SVBC's support. Guests were felicitated. Students showcased a series of music and dance performances, followed by a vote of thanks. Parents, committee members, and guests graced the occasion.
80th Independence Day Celebrations
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Venkateshwara Vidyalaya, Tirupati, on 15 August 2026. The programme began with flag hoisting and the National Anthem, followed by the welcome address by K. Manvitha Chowdary. Principal Smt. D. Padmaja stressed that “Freedom without education is incomplete.” Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju Garu highlighted India’s enduring cultural values. Dr. Raghurama Raju Garu recalled Tilak’s contribution and the message of duty. Students presented yoga, flag formations, song and dance.

Annual Sports Day – Sports Spectra 2026
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Venkateshwara Vidyalaya, Tirupati, hosted its Annual Sports Day, “Sports Spectra 2026,” with the inspiring theme “Sprint to Success.” The event celebrated sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline and perseverance. Smt. D. Padmaja, Principal, highlighted the role of sports in shaping character and personality. Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju Garu emphasised the importance of academics and games for holistic development. Chief Guest Sri M. S. K. Prasad inspired students to value individuality, sportsmanship and balance in success and failure. Colourful drills and relay races showcased the students’ talent and teamwork. The programme concluded with prize distribution and a vote of thanks.
Eye Screening Programme
An eye check-up camp was conducted from classes VI to X in the school premises from 11th August to 14th August 2026 as part of Eye Screening Programme towards checking Refractive errors. Experienced ophthalmologists from SVIMS – Sri Padmavathi Medical College organised the camp.
Leadership and Skill Development
Youth Parliament
Edify School’s Grade 12 Youth Parliament, held on Aug 17th and 18th, 2026 simulated Indian Parliament proceedings. Students debated NEP 2020, climate change, digital privacy, and youth in democracy, demonstrating exceptional oratory, critical thinking, and legislative understanding through Question Hour and a No-Confidence Motion.
Eureka Pitching Competition
The Eureka Pitching Competition was an exciting and enriching event conducted for students of Grades IX to XII, providing them with a platform to showcase their creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills. Participants presented their unique ideas and solutions to real-world problems through engaging pitches before a panel of judges. The event was an inspiring experience that motivated young minds to think beyond conventional ideas and explore the world of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Radio Programme
On the occasion of Independence Day, students from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya presented a children's program titled 'Balanandam' via Prasar Bharati’s All India Radio (AIR) station in Tirupati. The children sang patriotic songs and spoke about the immense service and sacrifices made by prominent national leaders for the country. The program was broadcast on AIR’s 'Balanandam' show on Sunday, the 16th, at 9:00 AM. Mr. Sudhakar, Deputy Director of All India Radio, highly appreciated the students, the school management, the staff, and the Principal for their efforts.
First Parent Teacher Meeting
On 14th August, 2026 the First Parent Teacher Meeting was held from Grade I to Grade XII was conducted from 3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The parents and the teachers discussed regarding the students’ academic performance and their behaviour.
World Elephant Day – Educational Visit to SV Zoological Park
On the occasion of World Elephant Day, observed on 12th August 2026, students of Classes VII and VIII, members of the Gardening and Environment Club, visited SV Zoological Park. They learnt about elephants, their behaviour, habitat, food habits, and their role in maintaining ecological balance. The students understood why elephants are called “engineers of the forest” and learnt about their conservation. They closely observed and, under supervision, fed the elephants. The visit was educational, enriching, and inspiring.
Fond Farewell to Our Mathematics Faculty – Mrs. M. Sumathi
On 29th August 2026, our school bid farewell to Mrs. M.Sumathi, the most sincere and dedicated mathematics teacher, who has been serving the institution since 2005. Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju Garu, Honorary Director and Treasurer, lauded her sincere efforts and unwavering commitment in rendering her services. A few teachers shared their fond memories with her,and wished her a healthy and peaceful retirement life.
